ENTEBBE TOWN TOUR.
The colonial town of Entebbe is about 45 minutes drive from Kampala and actually the town which hosts the Airport and the country President's State House. Entebbe is blessed to have the best beaches in Uganda and also the biggest part of Lake Victoria is accessible from Entebbe.
A tour to Entebbe is very satisfying to Nature Lovers, Birders, Wildlife lovers, Funs of Spot Fishing, golfers and honey mooners.
At Entebbe we have the lakeside Botanical Gardens, the Uganda Wildlife Education Center and so many resorts and beaches. Primate Lovers are also rewarded by visiting the Ngamba Island which is easily accessible via Entebbe - only 45 minutes with a speed boat.
Ngamba Island is located on Lake Victoria about 23km south of Entebbe. Its part of the Koome group of Islands located in Mukono District. This island has a project of the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT) and is currently a home of more than 40 orphaned chimpanzees.
The Entebbe Botanical Gardens was established in 1901 and lies on the shores of Africa's greatest Lake Victoria. The botanical garden is 34 km's from Kampala, about 45 minutes drive on a perfect tarmac road.
The Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) in Entebbe was created by the Government of Uganda with the help of the Wildlife Conservation Center in New York. The Center has grown considerably in recent years and hosts a variety of wildlife. UWEC is not a zoo as the center environment has been designed to be as close as possible to the wild. At the center, visitors are able to observe many flora and fauna of the indigenous species to be found in Uganda and also to receive comprehensive information on the species, their natural habitats and the complex ecologies of Uganda
Due to the fact that Entebbe has a big part of Lake Victoria, there are lots of fishing villages and markets to visit as well.
Itinerary:
The Day starts as early as 07:00am where we set off from Kampala and head to Entebbe. In about 40 minutes (less on more) we shall be at Entebbe and head straight to the pier where we get the boat to Ngamba Island. The boat trip on the Lake Victoria is fascinating and also offers birders a chance to watch some water birds. Upon arrival at the Chimp Island, you will have interesting guides welcoming you and telling you about the place. This activity is crowned by the chance to see these chimpanzees at the feeding time.
Return with those memories to the main land and enter the Uganda Wildlife Education Center where you will also get a lunch break if not heard before, and also tour around the center which has all the flora and fauna of Uganda being represented here.
Time allowing you will pass by the Entebbe Botanical Gardens. The garden hosts a variety of open country and woodland bird species. Guereza Colobus and Vervet monkeys can be observed next to great Blue and Ross's turacos , Klaas's and Diederik Cuckoos , Woodland Kingfisher , Broad-billed Roller, Black and white casqued horn bill and splendid starling can be observed on the small ruminant patches of the rainforest. The place is also clouded with butterflies and different plant species.
Later on you will drive back to Kampala and end the tour early evening.

KAMPALA CITY TOUR.
Kampala generally known as city of many hills with such a green environment and rated highly in Africa. It's the capital city of Uganda with all administration offices including the Parliament and so many monuments. Kampala alone offers cultural lovers a lot of chances to enjoy the tour and also birders will be rewarded.
Kampala highlights are so many including the colorful Nakasero Market and Owino Market, The mysterious Kasubi tombs-an ancestral burial place for the Buganda Kingdom Kings for the last 100 years, colonial buildings and much more.
Itinerary:
Your safari guide will meet you and drive you around Kampala 'the capital city' of Uganda as early as 08:00am. Below are the places you will visit time allowing;
Uganda Museum;
This is a display of Uganda's cultural heritage where one can see ethnological and natural-historical exhibitions. It is a vivid reminder of the country's colorful past.
Bahai Temple
Its called 'MashriquI-Adhkar', the Persian translation of the drawning place of the praise of God. It is also a mother temple of Africa.
Kasubi Tombs (Under reconstruction now)
This is a burial place for the Buganda Kings, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site and so unique to visit.
Namirembe Diocese and Church
The oldest and centrally located Diocese in Uganda, Namirembe plays an outstanding role in gauging the life and spirit of the whole church in general as far as Uganda is concerned. Namirembe is the oldest, among the 29 Diocese of the Anglican church of the province of Uganda.
Rubaga Church.
Built at the beginning of the century, the magnificent St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral stands an Rubaga Hill, overlooking the city. The church has been a key player in construction on numerous schools of colonial brick style e.g. Namilyango, Kisubi, Namagunga, Buddo and Gayaza. Local Markets Meet Ugandans and get around with them with the help of your safari guide. Our people are known for their friendliness.
Time allowing you will also get a chance to visit the Namugongo Shrines, which is also a very important site in Africa and worldwide known by the Christian Faith as the place where the King burnt his 22 subjects live due to joining Christianity.
End tour in the evening and you will be driven to your hotel for overnight.
JINJA TOWN TOUR.
The longest river in the world, the Nile starts its 6600 km journey to the Mediterranean at Jinja on the shores of Lake Victoria. At its source, the White Nile has some of the most ferocious big water rapids on earth. Thundering between heavily forested islands, the White Nile has up to ten times the volume of the Zambezi.
Jinja is so famous for this and besides it has most of Uganda's industries and also one of the biggest Forests Uganda has is found in Jinja!
Due to the Water Falls, many activities have been developed in Jinja and so the Adventurous people go for White Water Rafting, Bungy Jumping, Family Float, Horse Back Riding, Quad Biking, Water Surfing and Nature lovers and Birders are so rewarded when they visit the Mabira Forest.
We do take you to do and see all the above, although not all can be done in one day.
Itinerary:
Your safari guide will meet and depart for a whole day exploration at Jinja. You will head East passing coffee, Tea and Sugar plantations and the colorful roadside fruit/vegetable markets. The first stop is the Mabira Forest; here you will be able to see the primates, birds and butterflies. You will continue to the source of the Nile. This is a spot where John Speke first discovered the source of the Nile River. You will continue to Jinja Nile Resort or Sun set hotel where we will have your lunch.
In the afternoon, you will be taken Ssezibwa Falls a Buganda Heritage site. At the end of the day your guide will then transfer you to your Hotel.
Your tour to Jinja can also be combined with Half Day White water Rafting or Full day depending on your budget.
Rafting:
It was only in 1996 that the international rafting company, Adrift, made their historic first descent. Since then, rafting has taken off as one of the most popular activities with visitors to Uganda. A number of companies operate one- and two-day trips from Kampala.
It is not all adrenalin pumping action. While on the river you may also get to see the local wildlife, which includes hippos, and a variety of birds. You will also have the chance to have a swim on some of the calmer stretches of water. You can enjoy a one-day trip departing from Bujagali Falls, a short distance from Jinja and ends at Itanda, 18 kilometres away. The water levels at the source of the White Nile are subject to little seasonal variation, so rafting is excellent at any time of year. The constant volume of water guarantees one of the most exciting one-day rafting trips in the world. The legendary rapids 'Total Gunga', 'Overtime' and 'Itanda' will live long in the memory.
The Rafting experience can be arranged by us and you can choose to do half day, 1 day or even 2 days experience. You will be picked from various meeting points in Kampala before proceeding to Jinja. Depart for Jinja for a full day white rafting trip on the Nile River including morning snack, lunch, and beverages plus a BBQ at the end of the day.
You will have an exhilarating and memorable experience. Though this trip sounds very adventurous, this river can accommodate any level of rafter. No experience is needed. You can (choose a raft where you get to paddle or one where you enjoy an easier ride with someone else doing all the work!
