TOP 6 TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN TANZANIA.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha.
You will be met by our representative at Kilimanjaro Airport and briefed on your safari itinerary. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Jacaranda.

ngorongoro crater Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater 190km (4 hours).
You will have an early breakfast, followed by a drive to Ngorongoro crater, arriving in time for lunch at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
After lunch you will visit the Olduvai Gorge, also known as "the cradle of mankind''. The Gorge lies on the site of an ancient lake, covered by thick layers of volcanic ash, which carefully preserved the world's earliest records of mankind and which was unearthed by the dedicated Leakey family.
There is a museum where visitors can view some of the ancient findings, including the remains of a giant giraffe.
In the late afternoon you will go for game drive along the crater floor where you can expect to see a variety of wild life such as elephants, buffaloes, gazelle, hyena and wildebeest.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 3: Serengeti Reserve 145km (3hrs 30mins).
You will have an early morning breakfast followed by drive to Serengeti National Reserve.
Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled in its natural beauty. With more than two million wildebeest, half a million Thomson's gazelle, and a quarter of a million zebra, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. It is also a resting place for the "big 5", that is, the Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhinoceros and Elephant.
You will arrive at the park in time for lunch at Sereonera Wildlife Lodge.
After lunch you will go for a late afternoon game drive in the park and you can expect to see game such as Leopards, gazelles, wildebeests, lions and zebra.
Dinner and overnight at Sereonera Wildlife Lodge.

african fish eagle Day 4: Selous National Game Reserve.
After an early morning breakfast you will drive to Selous National Park. This is the largest game reserve in Africa.
Selous Game Reserve is a diverse landscape, from hot volcanic springs to sporadic lakes to the Great Rhaha & Rufiji rivers. This park is the most famous for its elephant, hippo & rhino populations - this park is home to the largest remaining elephant populations in the world.
Also to be seen are lions and a vast herd of buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, giraffe, waterbuck, baboon and eland. There is also an extremely rich birdlife in the park including goliath heron, open billed stork, fish eagle, sunbird, kingfishers and many others.
After lunch at the Sand Rivers hotel you will go for an afternoon game drive here you can expect to see a variety of game and bird life.
Dinner and overnight at Sand Rivers Selous.

Day 5: Zanzibar.
After a very early breakfast, you will depart for Dar-es-salaam, arriving in the evening. You will then take the ride by ferry to the island of Zanzibar.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel International.

Day 6: Kelele Square/ Zanzibar Prison Island.
After an early breakfast you will board a dhow to Prison Island. This historical Island was formerly owned by an Arab and used for the confinement of refractory slaves. The island is famous for its Prison and Giant Tortoises.
Activities here include riding the Giant Tortoises, which are the main attraction of the Island. You will also be able to indulge in activities such as water sports and snorkelling. The beautiful beach is also an ideal spot for sunbathing.
You will have a relaxed lunch on the island followed by a drive to Kelele Square. Kelele Square is the location of an old slave market. In Swahili 'Kelele' means noise, and the name is reputed to have derived from all the noise caused by the slave trading.
You will then board the dhow back to the mainland followed by a drive to Hotel International, arriving in time for dinner. Dinner and overnight at Hotel International.

mangapwani slave caves Day 7: Mangapwani Caves.
After an early breakfast you will be taken to Mangapwani Caves which were originally built for storing slaves.
After the abolition of slavery in 1897, the industry literally went "underground" and the Mangapwani Caves stand testament to this. The slaves were kept here until they were secretly transported to cargo ships and delivered to slave markets across Europe and the Indian subcontinent. To gain some insight into the dispeakable living conditions of slaves in the 1800s in east Africa, it's best to visit Mangapwani.

You will then go to Mangapwani beach arriving in time for a sumptuous seafood lunch at the Serena Restaurant and Water Sports Centre.
This is a great place to swim. The beach is exceptionally beautiful at high tide, and an excellent place to indulge in, water sports like snorkelling, kayaking and fishing.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel International.

Day 8: The Jozani Forest.
After an early breakfast you will depart for Jozani Forest, Zanzibar's first and only National Park. This forest is home to the Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey. Found only on the main island of Zanzibar, the Zanzibar Red Colobus is said to be endemic to Zanzibar. A visit to Zanzibar is not compete without seeing one of the rarest monkeys in Africa, with less than 2000 remaining in the world.
You will be given a guided tour of the forest and you can expect to see over 100 species of butterfly that inhabit the forest - some as big as your hand and a variety of bird species.
Also to be seen in the park are syke's monkeys, Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkeys, Zanzibar Leopard and Ader's duikers.

The Bay is also endowed with two types of turtles namely the green (Chelonia mydas) and the Hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricatta). You will also get a chance to see marine animals in the including Dolphins and Whales.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel International.



Day 9: Departure.
After a relaxed breakfast our representative will drop you at the airport in time for your flight home.
