8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Chimps Safari
Itinerary;
Day 01: Arrival
On arrival our representative meets you at Entebbe International Air Port and transfer you to Kampala for your dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice (budget or Luxury)
Day 02: Kampala - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
After breakfast the next day you will set off from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via Mbarara, you will make a brief stopover at the Equator that divides the world into the Southern and Northern hemisphere for photos and souvenirs, lunch will be in Mbarara after which you will proceed to south Western Uganda. Green tea plantations and long horned Ankole cattle on Ugandan farms will be regularly sighted on your way. You will arrive at Bwindi in the evening, Dinner and over night at accommodation of your choice (budget or Luxury)
Day 03: Gorilla Trekking day then we drive to Ishasha Sector in QENP.
After breakfast you will drive to the Headquarters for briefing thereafter you will start tracking at 08am. This is a demanding but rewarding experience. You will depart with lunch boxes, drinking water and remember to bring Jungle boots with you. This park is covered in dense vegetation and rugged hill which will demand that you are physically fit. The time taken to reach the Gorillas varies according to their movements. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is an awesome and exciting adventure offered by Voyager African Safaris.
After tracking, the guide will drive you via the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Depending on time left you may take an evening game drive in Ishasha in search of the typical tree climbing lions, watching these lions rest lying on top of the Fig trees is an awe inspiring sight. Dinner and overnight at Ishasha Lodge (budget or Luxury)
Day 04: Game drive / Kazinga Channel.
After a cup of coffee, breakfast, you will go for the early morning game drive in the park and expect to see lions, elephants, cape buffalo, warthogs, leopard, spotted hyena, and a lot of other small animals and birds. As you head to Mweya arriving in time for lunch. After lunch board the boat for the cruise along Kazinga Channel, a good experience for bird watching, as well as crocodiles, hippos and elephants. In the evening you will proceed to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice (budget or Luxury).
Day 05: Option for another Game Drive OR Forest Walk then proceed to Kibale National Park.
After Breakfast, you have the option to take another game drive as you head out to Kibale National park or you can go for a forest walk in Maramagambo Forest to take some birding and also see some forest habitats then continue to Kibale National Park; you will have lunch in Fortportal then proceed to Kibale National Park. Check in for Dinner and overnight at Your choice of accommodation (Budget or luxury).
Day 06: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park.
This day is full of exciting walks! In the morning we go in the forest to search for the wild but habituated chimpanzees, also to see are the red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many other primates in Kibale Forest. The walk in the forest may last for the whole morning, returning only for lunch and then later we can take you for another local but interesting walk in Bigodi Village, we will visit the swamp, known for its rich diversity of birds, butterflies and rare plant species. Dinner and overnight at your choice of accommodation (Budget or luxury).
Day 07: Drive from Kibale National Park to Kampala (B.B).
Have a calm breakfast before we head off for an exploration of the crater lakes. Enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and the stunning views. Then later drive to Kampala with a stop for lunch enroute and also at interesting sites depending on time left. Arrive in Kampala late afternoon or early evening then check in at your hotel for overnight (Budget or luxury).
Day 08: Departure.
This marks the end of your Safari and the airport transfer of today will be given to you by our friendly drivers at the time of your flight. If the airport transfer is late, then we shall also offer a city tour around Kampala's famous and historical sites then drop you off to the airport in time for your flight and see you off very well.
